“Champions for Health” Gala Celebrates Sport’s Power to Unite and Empower
Rome, italy – The vibrant intersection of sports and social impact took center stage at the recent “Champions for Health” gala, an event celebrating individuals and initiatives that leverage athletic endeavors for community betterment. Hosted by Rai journalist Eleonora Daniele, the prestigious gathering, held under the patronage of esteemed organizations including the Ministry of Health, Lazio Region, and the Italian Red cross, highlighted the profound connection between physical activity and personal development.
The brainchild of sociologist Lorena Rutigliano, the “Champions for Health” project aims to forge a vital link between the worlds of sports, art, and society. The evening drew an impressive roster of influential figures, underscoring the event’s meaning. Attendees included Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci, Rome Capital’s Councilor for Major Events, Sport, Tourism and Fashion Alessandro Onorato, and Councilor for Productive Activities, Equal Opportunities and Investment Attraction Monica Lucarelli. The Honorable Martina Semenzato,president of the parliamentary commission of inquiry into femicide,also lent her support.
