Quang Ninh secured the third-place spot in the overall team standings at the National Archery Championship, according to official tournament results released by the Vietnam Archery Federation. The coastal province captured a total of 20 medals during the competition held in Hanoi, establishing a new benchmark for regional programs in Vietnam.

According to official records from the Vietnam Archery Federation, Quang Ninh’s medal count consisted of six gold, seven silver, and seven bronze medals. The tournament featured over 300 athletes representing 63 provinces and municipalities across Vietnam. The competition format encompassed both recurve and compound categories, featuring rigorous elimination rounds, ranking matches, and team challenges overseen by international judges adhering to World Archery regulations.
Team events proved particularly fruitful for the delegation. Quang Ninh claimed three gold medals across mixed and men’s team disciplines. Standout individual performances anchored the overall tally, led by Nguyen Thi Lan, a 22-year-old recurve specialist. She secured two gold medals in individual and mixed events, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer. In the men’s team bracket, captain Tran Minh Duc guided his squad to a gold medal following a tense final against Hanoi. Meanwhile, the women’s team captured a bronze medal, marking a milestone for female competitors from the province.

The 20-medal result outpaces Quang Ninh’s previous performance of 15 medals at the 2021 championship, reflecting sustained investment in local coaching infrastructure and training programs. Historically, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have dominated the medal tables. While Hanoi claimed the overall national championship title with 22 medals—including 10 golds—Quang Ninh’s third-place finish signals a broader geographic spread of elite talent in Vietnamese sport.
