Moncada Court Archery: Prize & Event Report

Hear, hear! Caltanisseta returns to the Middle Ages with the Palio degli Arcieri in Palazzo Moncada.

On Saturday 27 September, at 5.30 pm, in the shadow of the noble walls of Palazzo Moncada, the Pro Loco of Caltanissetta APS invites citizens and travelers to relive one of the most significant moments in the history of Nissena: the archery Palio in honor of the noble Moncada family.

In the large open space of the Palace, the archery Palio will come to life, a challenge that will pit skilled archers representing the four historic districts of the city.

A unique event that will transform Caltanissetta into a true medieval setting, with costumes and colors to make those present relive the atmosphere of a distant era but which is part of the history of the community.
All citizens are invited to take part in this great historical re-enactment which celebrates tradition, identity and pride of Nisse.
The event will close the participatory budget project proposed by the Pro Loco Caltanissetta APS Association and voted by the citizens in 2024, having reinvested everything in an event that will be repeated and enriched more and more every year.
Appointment at Palazzo Moncada!
