Wednesday 24 September the Village by the Marzotto hosts the second edition of the Sports Day, organized by the city of Jesolo with the Defense General Staff. A special appointment that combines institutions, athletes and citizens in a single great celebration of the values of sport and solidarity.
The presentation took place this morning with the mayor Christofer de Zotti, the councilor for sport Martina Borin, General Eugenio Martis, vice -president of the Paralympic Sports Group of Defense, and Lieutenant Colonel Gianfranco Paglia, gold medal for military valor and captain of the same group.
The event, with free admission, will open at 9.30 with the official ceremony in the presence of the Undersecretary of Defense Isabella Rauti, of civil and military authorities and the Paralympic athletes.
The program offers sports demonstrations, experiential activities and interactive simulators, as well as a great static exhibition of historical and operational means. Numerous disciplines in which to try their hand: table tennis, paddle, fencing, badminton, archery, Paralympic bowl, sitting volleyball, sailing, swimming, rowing and many others.
There will be unique experiences such as the Military Fitness circuit, the army combat techniques, the navy simulators and virtual flights with the aeronautics. The public will be able to attend the performances of the Carabinieri dog units, explore a crime scene reconstructed by the Ris of Parma and listen to military fanfares.
Also present were the stands of the ULSS 4 Eastern Veneto and Anafim, testifying to the support towards the most fragile bands.
The day will be an opportunity to meet the athletes of the Paralympic Sports Group Defense, returning from the Paris 2024 Paralympics and in view of the Invictus Games 2025 in Canada: a concrete example of courage, resilience and sports passion.
