Pitchhamon, Thailand’s 18-year-old badminton star, continued his impressive form when he took part in the qualification games for the Hong Kong Open 2025.
Two days ago, Pitchhamon caused a sensation when he won against a series of Chinese players and won the Baoji China Masters 2025. It was also the second BWF World Tour title in the career of this “badminton wonderkind”.
With this championship, Pitchhamon also made a jump in the ranking of the Badminton World Federation (BWF). Specifically, she climbed to 40th place in the world rankings from 49th and 36th place in the World Tour.
However, this success was not enough to officially win a ticket for the Hong Kong Open, one of the most important badminton tournaments.
In the qualification round, she met the Taiwanese opponent Tung Ciou-Tong, who is in 54th place in the world rankings.

Pitchhamon only had difficulties in the first game when she won 21-19. In the second game she easily won 21-13.
Pitchhamon helped this victory to officially qualify for the Hong Kong Open-a memorable milestone in the career of the 18-year-old girl.
However, Pitchhamon’s chances of getting far are rather low because she meets her older Chochuwong in the first round. Chochuwong is currently number 6 in the world rankings and is in their best age.
At just 18 years of age, Pitchhamon is expected to enter the footsteps of famous seniors such as Intanon and Chochuwong and get into the top 10 in the world. In addition to her talent, Pitchhamon also causes excitement in the badminton world because of her beautiful, innocent appearance.
