Nys is already breeding a secret. “I was not immediately jumping in front of it, but I got married again last year,” he shines. At the request of his girlfriend, now a woman, the former field driver made a phone call with the mayor. In the rap and the big secret, the lovebirds gave each other the yes. “We quickly put on our jeans, signed and then started eating something in Antwerp.”
“My parents knew nothing,” Nys confesses to presenter Ruben van Gucht. “Only our two children were aware.” Sven and Anneke have been a couple for ten years and so they considered the time ripe to seal that love with a marriage. “It was the perfect moment to take that step,” says Nys. “We agree well, this just belonged to who we are.”

If you watch the broadcast on television or via VRT Max, you will notice that both presenter and guest made striking vestimentary choices. Both Van Gucht and Nys wear a T-shirt with a photo of Van Gucht at the swimming pool in Puglia, where he visited this summer for a portrait interview in this newspaper. A quote from the piece is prominent under the photo: “My self -security is often confused with arrogance.” A scalse nod to his own reputation.
