“It is an exercise that we do not do so often, we go at the foot of a climb, there are 3-4 km irregular at the start, it goes up, it goes down, and then after we have the 7 km towards Peyragudes, it is a climb which is almost identical to the Peyresoude, so it’s a real pass.
And then on the other hand, in the last kilometers, we have the famous airport, the Peyragudes aerodrome, where we have a very spectacular arrival, with a slope up to 16%, and I think it is really conducive to giving everything. We risk having runners really on the verge of asphyxiation on the finish line, and there you have to be comfortable in the backwater, but above all super well climb. I think specialists can take over, runners like Lenny Martinez can recover time even if the leaders will be in front ”.
