English footballer Harry Maguire was granted a full retrial after a Greek court appealed his conviction for attacking and trying to bribe police officers.
One day after his conviction, the verdict against the Manchester United captain was “overturned” and his convictions “overturned” under Greek law.
The club said the football player’s legal team filed an appeal yesterday morning seeking “overturn the original court judgment and overturn the conviction”. The club added, “The appeal has been accepted and will result in a full retrial in a higher court. This means that Harry has no previous convictions and is again deemed innocent until proven guilty.
