“The next step to continue strategic growth was our decision to participate in the Baltic Hockey League in the 2025/26 season. We have received support from both the International Hockey Federation (IIHF) and the Latvian Hockey Federation (LHF), which is the organizer of the tournament,” the club said.
The Kiev Capitals have competed for two years. The first season lost to the semi -finals, but last season the team reached the final. Six teams competed in the Ukrainian league.
Both seasons Capitals have been played by Latvian guard Denis Berdnik, who was the second highest scorer in 27 games last season, with 30 assists in his team. A year earlier, Berdnik scored 31 points in 26 games.
He also played in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, when Russia’s full -scale invasion began. Berdnik went to France for a year, then returned to Ukraine.
