The annual sports awards ceremony, a cherished tradition in Adliswil, took place on Monday, January 20, 2025. Held at the culture Box, the event celebrated the achievements of local athletes and those affiliated with Adliswil-based clubs. The 2024 Sports Prizes were awarded to individuals who demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the year.
This year, the Sihltal Judo Club highlighted the accomplishments of several standout athletes.These individuals, who secured numerous medals at various tournaments, were presented with certificates and commemorative Ovaltine tins engraved with “Sports Prize 2024.” The honorees included:

In a new initiative, the ceremony introduced a “Volunteers” category to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of those working behind the scenes. The club president praised the member actuary for her dedication. Beyond managing members, she ensures the club’s website is current, organizes event invitations, handles tournament registrations, oversees SJV passes and licenses, and supports the board. As a token of gratitude, she received a bottle of wine and a selection of Italian delicacies.
The event also featured a captivating artistic performance by Nicole McLaren, the Athlete of the Year. Her spinning dance demonstration left the audience in awe, solidifying her well-deserved recognition.
