PSV’s 22-man squad for the Champions League⁣ clash against Red Star Belgrade has been unveiled by Peter Bosz.A victory in the Serbian capital on Tuesday is crucial for Eindhoven’s team ⁣to keep their hopes alive for advancing to‍ the play-offs of the prestigious tournament.

Malik‍ Tillman’s recent injury during the Excelsior match has sidelined him, prompting Bosz to promote Tai Abed to the senior‍ squad. The⁤ 20-year-old Israeli winger has been a standout performer for⁢ Jong PSV and‍ is now eyeing his first-team debut.

Abed’s remarkable tally⁣ of 11 goals in 21 appearances for Jong PSV in the Kitchen champion Division places ⁢him ⁢joint fourth in the league’s scoring charts. His hat-trick‍ against Vitesse in December further highlighted his potential. Having extended his contract until 2026, Abed ⁢has been training regularly with the first team under Bosz’s guidance.

Joining Abed ‍in Belgrade is Wessel Kuhn, the captain of Jong ⁢PSV. The 18-year-old defender is also awaiting his first prospect to⁤ feature for the Eredivisie leaders.

PSV will be without Ivan Perisic, Esmir Bajraktarevic, and matteo ‍Dams,⁢ who is ⁤suspended. Sergiño Dest and Adamo Nagalo remain sidelined due to injuries, further depleting Bosz’s options.

However, the return of ⁣Couhaib Driouech and Isaac Babadi to the⁤ squad provides a boost. The pair is likely to be⁤ among the substitutes for Tuesday’s match, wich marks PSV’s second-to-last group stage fixture. The final group‍ game will be against ‍Liverpool on January 29.
