Shane Larkin: Thanks for having me. It’s always great to talk basketball, especially after such an intense game.
Moderator: Let’s dive right in. The final score was 91-89 in favor of Büyükçekmece. It was a nail-biter until the very end. What’s your take on how the game unfolded?
Shane Larkin: It was definately a tough one. We knew Büyükçekmece would come out strong, especially playing at home. They’ve been improving this season, and Franke had a phenomenal game. we had our moments, but we couldn’t close it out. That’s basketball—sometimes the ball just doesn’t bounce your way.
Moderator: Speaking of Franke, he was the standout player with 24 points. How do you think your team could have better contained him?
Shane Larkin: Franke was on fire,no doubt. He hit some big shots, especially in crucial moments. I think we could’ve been more aggressive defensively, maybe forced him into tougher looks. But credit to him—he stepped up when his team needed him most.
Moderator: On your side, ercan Osmani had a strong performance with 21 points, and you contributed 19. Do you feel like the team’s offensive execution was where it needed to be?
Shane Larkin: Offensively, I think we did some good things. Ercan was great, and we had contributions from other guys too. But in close games like this,it’s the little things that make the difference—maybe a missed free throw here,a turnover there. Those are the plays that haunt you after a loss.
Moderator: The game was tied at 65-66 going into the final period. What do you think shifted the momentum in Büyükçekmece’s favor in those last minutes?
shane Larkin: Honestly, I think it came down to execution. They made the big plays when it mattered most. We had a couple of defensive breakdowns, and they capitalized. That’s what good teams do.
Moderator: One moment that stood out was Love committing his 5th foul at 39.52 minutes. How did that impact the closing moments of the game?
Shane Larkin: It definitely added to the tension. Love’s a key player for them, so when he fouled out, it could’ve gone either way. But Büyükçekmece stayed composed, and Franke took over. That’s the mark of a resilient team.
Moderator: Looking ahead, this was Anadolu Efes’ fourth loss of the season. How do you and the team plan to bounce back from this?
Shane Larkin: We’ll watch the film, learn from our mistakes, and keep working. Every game is a new chance. We’ve got a great group of guys, and I’m confident we’ll turn things around.
