Nathan Eovaldi wasted no time demonstrating his speed on Friday night.
The Boston Red Sox opened their 2020 Major League Baseball season against the Baltimore Orioles in a windowless Fenway Park. And the right-hander used the game’s first pitch to dispel doubts on his elbow.
Eovaldi hit 100 miles an hour on the radar with a four-seam fastball.
And, as expected, Twitter was excited.

Nathan Eovaldi is well on the way to not leaving anyone on the base throughout the season.

Eovaldi struggled with elbow problems last season, so it’s definitely nice to see him start things at a high level.
