Tunkara, who resided in Verdello and worked at a Carrefour supermarket, was cycling home when he was attacked. The assailant pushed him to the ground and fatally stabbed him. The perpetrator then fled the scene, heading towards Via Moroni.
Following an intensive search, authorities located the suspect attempting to cross the border into switzerland this morning. Swiss police apprehended him and handed him over to Italian authorities. He is currently being held at the Bergamo police station.
