Jim: Nix is exciting, I’ll give him that. He has the arm talent and the guts, but rookie quarterbacks can be inconsistent. The key for Nix will be managing the game, not trying to be a hero. Lean on that strong running game Denver has with Javonte williams and let the passing game develop organically.
Denver’s defense has some standout performers, particularly Pat Surtain II. How crucial will he be in containing Chase?
Jim: Surtain’s one of the best in the league, no question. But Chase is so dynamic,it’s going to take a team effort,not just one guy,to slow him down. Denver needs to mix things up, show Burrow different looks, and prevent him from finding Chase in those one-on-one matchups.
