Botswana, Cameroon, Eswatini and São Tomé and Príncipe are also participating in the event.
This is the second time that Angola is hosting this event, the first was held in 2023, also in Luanda.
Notwithstanding that this competition is an African Judo Open, the regulations allow teams that are not African, such as that of Paraguay, to participate because it is a qualifying tournament for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. .
