With a 45-38 defeat against Baja California, the Hidalgo team opened its participation in the National Women’s Basketball Championship, in the Under 13 category, which takes place in San Luis Potosí.
The stave of the sports unit Lic. Adolfo López Mateos witnessed the first commitment of the representatives of the entity in the tournament.
In the first chapter, Baja California took the lead, and despite the fact that the juniors tried to get closer on the scoreboard, they failed to equalize the game, which ended 11-8 in favor of the norteñas.
However, the actions were more even for the second quarter, since both the Baja Californians and the Hidalguenses were even and, in the end, tied the partial score, although the overall score continued to favor the border team.
After the break, both teams arrived with more energy and it was shown on the court, since in a concert of baskets, Baja California achieved 16 units, for 14 of the state units, in what was the breaking point, since the distances it was separated by a quintet of units.
In the final chapter, Hidalgo tried but he could only increase his score by eight points, while Baja California made a ten, to place the final score 45-38.
