two supporters present during the final at the Stade de France and during the drama of Hillsborough ended their lives

They lived through the hell of Hillsborough and the Stade de France fiasco. But this week, for reasons of their own, two loyal Liverpool supporters have chosen to end their lives. It is the French daily L’Équipe which announces the sad news.

As a reminder, one evening in April 1989, an FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forrest saw hell break down in the aisles of Hillsborough stadium. Indeed, following terrible crowd movements in the camp of Reds fans, 96 people, including children, died, crushed by the crowd.

An unnamed tragedy which these two supporters had survived. And, a few months ago, they were also present in Paris, on the occasion of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool. A meeting which also experienced serious overflows, to the point of shifting the kick-off.
