The Spanish star of the mountain Kilian Jornet conquered this Saturday Mont Blanc Ultra Trail (UTMB) with a record time of 19 hours and 49 minutes, and signed his fourth victory in the test, equaling the record of the French François d’Haene.
The Catalan, closely followed for a large part of the route by Frenchman Mathieu Blanchard, increased his lead in the last 20 kilometres. Jornet is the first to break the 20 hour mark in this mythical trail race. The previous record was in the hands of the also Spanish Pau Capell (20 hours 19 minutes in 2019).
