Noa Lang was only just on the field against KV Kortrijk, when the substitute twisted his ankle during a dribble. The Dutchman tried to continue playing after being taken care of, but fell visibly against the turf a minute later.
“I’m very worried. I really hope it’s not too bad,” said coach Carl Hoefkens after the game.
Further research has now shown that Lang will be out for 4 to 6 weeks with an ankle injury. A setback for the wing forward who dreamed of a transfer.
In the last two weeks of the summer mercato, this injury seems to be drawing a line from that dream.
