CRÊME PHILADELPHIA – The head coach of the University of Pennsylvania women’s basketball team, Mike Mc Laughlin, announced the addition of Floor Toonders to the Quakers roster for the 2022-23 season. Toonders comes to Penn after playing at the University of Florida for the past two years and will have two years of eligibility with the Quakers.
“I’m very excited to welcome Floor to Penn’s women’s basketball program,” McLaughlin said of the future 6-4 forward. “She adds tremendous size and versatility to our position as a post player combined with top-level experience both during her time here in the United States and with her national team in the Netherlands. I can’t wait to have Floor on campus in August!”

Before Florida: Earned a four-star rating from Blue Star Europe… Played for the Netherlands at the FIBA U18 European Women’s Championship 2019, averaging 7.6 points, 5.8 rebounds in 24 minutes… A also represented her home country in the FIBA 3×3 U18 European Cup… One of the youngest players in her Division 3 Orange Lions team in Holland, competing in one of the premier leagues of the country … Helped guide his U20 team to the EGBL final in 2019 and was named to the all-star team.
