Sport, fun and inclusion at the start of the Women’s Universe Tour in Zamora | The Day of Zamora

Elisa Yarte, Iberdrola’s Sponsorship and Global Brand Manager, together with Sergio López García, Councilor for the Youth Area of ​​the Zamora City Council, and Olympic figure skater Sara Hurtado were in charge of kicking off the Women’s Universe Tour in the Plaza of the Marine. Later, they toured the entire Tour, in which they dared to try out various disciplines such as boxing, triathlon, weightlifting or judo, among others. Despite the high temperatures, the people of Zamora braved the heat of these days and came to enjoy the activities programmed by the different national and regional Federations.

During the afternoon of Saturday, the music and the most daring filled the atmosphere with color and left their skin in the Zumba and Body Combat classes in charge of the local instructors. The visitors practiced all kinds of activities and followed the judo exhibitions on tatami with great interest.

This Sunday the ‘Zamora fit for Equality’ race will be held (10:00 a.m.), the proceeds of which will go entirely to the Sanagua Aspace Association and, in parallel, the Tour will reopen its doors so that Zamorans continue to enjoy sport without barriers and ageless.
