The game was dominated by a player from the Hungarian team, Brooks, with 27 points, seconded by Hatar, with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while for the Spanish team the good play of Silvia Domínguez and the 23 points of Copper could not prevent victory of the Sopron.
In the first room, Perfumerías Avenida was not comfortable at any timewith shooting percentages lower than usual, and poor rebounding, a section in which the Hungarians were far superior.
The Spanish team did not improve much in the second quarter. Roberto Íñiguez requested time-out with a 20-32 lead, the maximum difference until then, to try to stop the gale of his rival’s game, but he was unsuccessful and the break was reached with a +16 in favor of Sopron (31-47).
After passing through the locker room, the match progressed without the Salamanca team managing to close the gap, although in the last seconds of the third quarter a 2+1 run by K. Samuelson gave Perfumerías Avenida hope, which fell to 12 points.
In the last quarter, the match was more intense. With six minutes to go, after several erroneous plays by Sopron, Perfumerías Avenida fell to seven points and then to five (61-66), and, after a Hungarian basket, Copper achieved another triple that, with four minutes to go , put the party with four points of difference.
But the Spanish team could not complete the comeback and was left without the Euroleague final.
