Samsung and the New York Mets are ready to welcome baseball fans to Citi Field for an overhauled stadium experience. The 2022 Major League Baseball season should begin on April 7, and as some of you know, Citi Field is undergoing a full-court upgrade powered by Samsung technology.

The multi-year project was announced late last year, and now, Samsung and the Mets are gearing up to welcome the first fans to the most technologically advanced stadium the majors have ever seen.

The modernization process has been divided into several phases, the first of which is now complete. Here’s what Mets fans can expect at Citi Field:

12,000 sq. ft. Samsung Direct View LED display

Level 5 Samsung LED Strip Board

300 Samsung LCD screens around the pitch

New IPTV System Based on Samsung MagicINFO Software

Three times the number of cameras for live capture

Twice the number of slow-motion playback systems

All static screens at Taste of the City Food Court have been upgraded to digital

Later this year, Samsung will upgrade the Promenade, Premium and 100-layer ribbon boards at the Met, as well as the Jackie Robinson Rotunda with high-definition digital displays.
