To determine the final ranking, the competition was held in two stages. A ranking shot followed by duels.

For the archers vernonnais, in the Eure, the qualifications took place in accordance with the initial objective. Finish in the first three teams in order to face the first phase of duels more or less calmly.

Stéphane Zede, Jean-Mayeul Bourgeois, Antoine Capelle and François Chainier completed the first phase of this competition brilliantly, finishing second.

A tight final

During duels, the principle is simple. Three archers from the team compete against another team of three archers. Each archer must shoot two arrows, all within two minutes. Each won duel earns two points and it takes five, at least, to win the match.

During the first duel, the archers from Vernon have a score of 6 to 2 facing the archers of Bernay. When second opposition, against the archers of Gisors, the game was more hung but Vernon also manages to win on the score of 6 to 2.

In finale, the locals will not be unworthy but will lose against a great team from Beaumont-Le-Roger: 5-3.

After this beautiful silver medal, the archers from Vernon have a new goal for the spring: to participate in the Olympic team shooting.
