Hamburg Towers welcome an increase in the number of spectators

Hamburg (dpa / lno) – The Hamburg Towers have reacted positively to the adjustment of the audience numbers in professional sport. The Bundesliga game against the Central German Basketball Club on Friday (8.30 p.m.) in the local hall in Inselpark can now be played in front of 1,000 spectators. “We are very happy about the courtesy of the city. Thanks to the special permit, the additional work could be reduced significantly, at least in the short term,” said managing director Jan Fischer in a message from the club on Thursday.

This special regulation initially only applies to the home game against the MBC. The further procedure depends on the current corona situation. Access to the hall is only granted to spectators who follow the 2G plus rule, i.e. tested, recovered and with a current test. Those who are boosted do not need a test.

“Even if we still had to cancel numerous tickets, we can at least make it possible for all season ticket holders as well as our partners and sponsors to visit the home game,” said Fischer. Fans who bought a day ticket but are not allowed to watch have already been given information about the reimbursement of previously purchased tickets, the Towers further explained.

The handball players at HSV Hamburg are currently not affected by the special permit. You will play for the first time after the World Cup break on February 13th in the Hamburg sports hall. Opponents are then the Füchse Berlin.
