The show in the NBA never fails, as well as the epic and hilarious scenes. In the challenge staged on the Italian night between Rockets and Hornets Wood was the protagonist of a truly sensational episode.
The Houston team player wanted to pass the ball to his mate Christopher in the middle of the pitch, but he didn’t get his strength right and so he hit a spectator in the head in the stands. The woman was walking and she was distracted from the game, so she wasn’t ready to defend herself from that ‘fireball’ on the way. The fan seemed to be fine despite the blow to the head, but Wood immediately looked desolate and sorry, worried that he might have damaged the woman.
After the game, the basketball player, however, felt guilty and decided to offer the fan something to make up for: free tickets on the sidelines to any Rockets game of his choice. A beautiful gesture even if, probably, considering that the game was played in Charlotte, the supporter was a fan of the Hornets.
