The Spanish Football Federation (FEF) approved this Monday in a general assembly a record budget of 406 million euros for 2022, the highest in its history, with an increase of 49 million compared to 2021. Thanks to 91 million euros. Euros that the FEF will obtain next year for sponsorship, 123.6 million for audiovisual rights, 36.8 for participation in competitions and 18 million from the agreement with LaLiga, the body chaired by Luis Rubiales will have the second largest budget of a federation in Europe, only surpassed by that of England.

The FEF will be the first sports body to allocate in 2022 a new game of aid for national category clubs affected by natural disasters, in this case, 200,000 euros, “a historic endowment”, as Rubiales described it, for entities affected by various disasters. «In the last ten in our country there has been an earthquake, as in Lorca, and floods, as now in the Aragón area, and when it is proven that the clubs have had an economic loss with them we want to help, because being in solidarity is never too much ”, announced the president of the FEF, before the assembly unanimously approved its budget for the next fiscal year.

The FEF also decided that the covid tests will continue in non-professional clubs until spring 2022, “since it is the most prudent thing to do.” «Today in the tests carried out here (in the Ciudad del Fútbol of Las Rozas) some positives have been detected. In its day we approved the protocols that there would be tests until December (2021), but we are going to extend this measure until spring, ”announced the president of the FEF.

Luis Rubiales confirmed that the FEF “will continue working” for the joint candidacy of Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup, which he described as a “matter of State.” «I can think of few events that can transform a country, generate income and promote tourism, and if Spain and Portugal have something, it is heritage, cultural and tourist wealth. We are excited. We are going to try to be the only candidacy in UEFA in order to be stronger. Spain deserves the 2030 World Cup, because in Spain football is breathed, and also in Portugal “, he highlighted.
