Football: Arnautovic experiences debacle on return

Football

Marko Arnautovic’s return to his old place of work ended in a debacle. The Austrian team player had to admit defeat to the Italian champions Inter Milan with 1: 6 on Saturday in the Meazza Stadium with his Club Bologna.

The goals for the vastly superior home side were scored by Lautaro Martinez (6th), Milan Skriniar (30th), Nicolo Barella (34th), Matias Vecino (54th) and Edin Dzeko (63rd, 68th), while Arthur scored for Bologna Theater (86th).

Arnautovic played through, but was ineffective against the strong Inter defense. The 32-year-old Viennese had played for the “Nerazzurri” in Inter’s 2009/10 triple season, but had not looked out for more than three appearances.
