Reaves returns July 6 to the basketball team

The Times / Cochabamba

The incorporation of the American-Bolivian Joshua Reaves to the national basketball team is scheduled for July 6, coach Giovanny Vargas reported.

But his return to La Verde on the scheduled date will depend on the management carried out by the Bolivian Basketball Federation (FBB) so that the athlete can board a ship that transports him from Washington to Cochabamba with fewer flight hours, without having to stop at Miami for nine hours.

Vargas explained that Reaves accepted to rejoin the national team because the logistics of the concentration to face the second stage of the World Cup qualifier has been optimized, with the support of the Vice Ministry of Sports and the Hotel Resort Regina. The concentration of the Bolivian team begins today in the town of Tiquipaya, and the first test is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the Quillacollo Sports Center.

Bolivia will face Nicaragua, Paraguay and Chile from July 13 to 15 in search of a pass to the ecumenical tournament to be held in the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan in 2023. The home run will be played in Santiago de Chile. “The Vice Ministry of Sports and Bolivian Aviation (BOA) intend to embark Reaves on a flight with a stopover in Miami, but to avoid the hassle of waiting nine hours in that city to continue the trip to Cochabamba, the federation should manage the ticket in another airline so that the trip is more direct ”, commented the trainer. Armando Choque will arrive from Spain on Wednesday July 4 and will immediately join the Green preparations.
