Relaxation amateur football approaching: “Almost the football of yesteryear!” | Lower classes

From Sunday 27 June, the announced relaxations in amateur football will be implemented. That confirms Voetbal Vlaanderen. “Sports can be resumed under normal circumstances, although it remains important to follow the protocols properly for the benefit of everyone’s health,” it sounds.

Amateur football, not only among the youngest, can therefore restart. A first big step towards “the football of yesteryear”.

Read here exactly what has been decided:

Rules related to sports:

  • There are no more limits on the number of athletes and contact can be made as necessary. This applies to sports in an organized and non-organized context.
  • Changing rooms and showers may reopen, provided there is sufficient ventilation and capacity.
  • The density rules (30m²/10m²) for reducing the capacity of sports infrastructure are no longer mandatory.
  • There is still a limit for sports camps: from June 25, this is max. 100 participants, from July 30, max. 200 participants. Overnight stays are allowed at sports camps.

Audience limits at sports competitions:

  • Underage participants (+ G-athletes and people in need of assistance) in sports activities can always be accompanied by 1 or more members of their household, regardless of the nature of the activity.
  • Inside up to 2,000 people, sitting, with a mouth mask and at a safe distance. Outside up to 2,500 people, with mouth mask and at a safe distance (without Covid Safe Ticket).
  • The mouth mask may temporarily be removed from a fixed seat, such as in a football stadium.
  • Children up to the age of 12 are exempt from testing for the Covid Safe Ticket.
  • Clubs are not obliged to offer the test opportunity at the entrance of an event.

“Stricter restrictions may apply locally. You can check them on the website of your province or municipality,” Voetbal Vlaanderen still knows.
