Roland-Garros: Despite a match point, Greet Minnen tilts against Petra Kvitova

Sunday on the clay court of Roland-Garros, the 23-year-old Belgian had a match point but finally had to give up in front of the Czech Petra Kvitova, 31, 12th in the world and seeded N.11. The Czech lined up five games in a row before qualifying for the second round despite 44 unforced errors. She will challenge the Russian Elena Vesnina or the Belarusian Olga Govortsova. In 2020 for her first at Roland Garros, Minnen lost in the first round to Argentina’s Nadia Podoroska.
