Olympique Lyonnais has its new coach. After a disappointing 2020-2021 season and finished in 4th place synonymous with non-participation in the next Champions League, Rudi Garcia left the post of coach with a bang. The Rhone club announced, Saturday May 29, the appointment of Peter Bosz at the helm of Les Gones. The Dutch technician, aged 57, has signed up for two seasons, that is to say until June 2023. He is the 30th coach in the history of OL and the third not to be of French nationality, after the Serbian Vladimir Kovacevic in the early 1980s and the Brazilian Sylvinho, who stayed only a few months in 2019. Able to express himself in French – he played for three years in Toulon between 1988 and 1991 – Peter Bosz notably coached Ajax Amsterdam, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
