THE PASS’SPORT: ASSISTANCE OF € 50 TO FINANCE REGISTRATION IN A SPORT CLUB AT THE BACK OF SCHOOL 2021 | French Judo Federation

On the occasion of a trip dedicated to the reopening of sports activities in Pont-Sainte-Marie in the Aube department, the President of the Republic, accompanied by Jean-Michel BLANQUER, Minister of National Education, youth and sports and Roxana MARACINEANU, Minister Delegate in charge of sports, presented the “Pass’Sport”.

THE PRESS RELEASE FROM THE MINISTRY IN CHARGE OF SPORTS:

“The successive confinements and the braking measures necessary to contain the Covid-19 epidemic have considerably constrained the practice of sport for more than a year: limitation of travel and gatherings, closure of covered sports establishments, prohibition of practices with contact These measures have resulted in a general decline in the physical and sports activity of the French associated with a strong increase in sedentary lifestyle with effects on their physical and mental health. These restrictions have also had a major economic impact on the whole. of the sports ecosystem.

(…)

This is why the President of the Republic wanted a strong measure to support the licensing of a club at the start of the 2021 school year, supported by a massive and unprecedented financial effort of € 100 million.

This aid, which will take the form of a “Pass’Sport”, is both a stimulus measure for the associative sports sector but also a social measure intended to offer the most disadvantaged children and young people in our country access to a structuring and educational framework such as the sports club can offer.

(…)

The Pass’Sport is a back-to-school sports allowance. In the amount of 50 euros, this state aid is intended for children aged 6 to 17 who are beneficiaries of the 2021 back-to-school allowance, and for children aged 6 to 18 who are beneficiaries of the education allowance of disabled children as well as young people aged 16 to 18 receiving the allowance for disabled adults (AAH). It will allow them to take up a membership or a license in a sports association from September 2021 throughout the school year 2021-2022.

Eligible families will be notified of this assistance by letter in the second half of August. They must present this letter to the sports clubs of their choice and volunteers from the Pass’Sport network when their child joins and will be deducted from 50 euros upon registration. This amount covers all or part of the cost of registration in a club, that is to say both the “license” part paid to the federation, as well as the “subscription” part which goes to the club. It will therefore be paid not to families but directly to the clubs. This aid will be cumulative with the similar measures put in place by many local authorities and aid from the Caisse d’Allocations Familiales.

The Pass’Sport can be used:

– in sports associations affiliated to approved sports federations;

– in priority areas of the city, with all approved sports associations whether or not they are affiliated with a sports federation;

– in the network of sports-health houses recognized by the Ministries of Health and Sports. “
