Yokohama DeNA Baystars to host Baseball Street on Nihon-dori in 2026

The Yokohama DeNA Baystars will transform the historic Nihon-dori street into an immersive baseball park during the upcoming “B-SIDE HOLIDAYS 2026 YOKOHAMA DeNA BAYSTARS Supported by Yokohama Harbor” event. The club announced that the “BASEBALL STREET” installation will feature a variety of baseball-themed attractions and photo opportunities designed to bring the sport closer to the community outside the stadium environment.

The event, which is free to attend and requires no advance registration, aims to provide fans of all ages with hands-on engagement with the team and the sport.

Interactive Baseball Challenges on Nihon-dori

The “BASEBALL STREET” zone will host several skill-based stations, allowing visitors to test their abilities in a public setting. Among the attractions is a “Pinball Baseball” game, which utilizes a large ball that participants strike toward obstacles to reach a target home run zone.

For those looking to test their power, a “Target Home Run” station will be available, where participants can hit balls off a tee. Pitching accuracy and speed will also be featured, with a “Speed Gun Challenge” for measuring throwing velocity and a “Strike Challenge” that invites fans to pitch into a giant mitt featuring the character Tanishigeru-kun. A "Bart & Chappy" inflatable slider has been confirmed for younger attendees.

Photo Opportunities and Commemorative Displays

The event will include several designated photo spots throughout Nihon-dori to mark the occasion. Fans can take pictures at a display featuring the event’s official key visual, which includes player panels. A “Hero Truck” installation will also be available, designed to simulate the post-game experience of a team hero.

The club is also bringing a special “DB. Starman-go” vehicle to the street, providing a dedicated backdrop for photos with the team mascot’s branding.

Win Novelty Items at the on-Site Lottery Booth

In addition to the activities and photo spots, the event will host a lottery booth where attendees can win various novelty items. Information regarding participation in the lottery will be provided on-site at the booth. The club noted that these items are available in limited quantities, and the lottery will conclude once the supply is exhausted. While further details regarding food and beverage booths are pending, the club confirmed that additional information will be released at a later date.
