TuS TD 07 Lank TDL-Damen 30 streben Klassenerhalt an

The women’s 30 squad from TuS TD 07 Lank enters the upcoming winter indoor season as the only team from Meerbusch competing in the Niederrheinliga. After securing a third-place finish last season, the team aims to maintain its position in the top division despite a challenging field.

Captain Amelie Bergstein acknowledged the difficulty of the campaign, noting that the addition of Bredeney as a strong promoted side makes the competition more intense. The team’s primary objective is to secure a spot in the safe mid-table region of the standings.

Personnel changes for the winter season

The Lankerinnen will face the winter rounds without their usual top-ranked player, Johanna Lambrich. Lambrich is scheduled to play for her primary club, Blau-Schwarz Düsseldorf, during the winter months. In her absence, Mirja Buch will step into the number one position in the lineup.

The remainder of the squad consists of captain Amelie Bergstein, Annika Schiffer, Silke Richard, Jill Lindhorst, Laura Schreiner, Annick Jansen, and Rosalie Bergstein.

TuS TD 07 Lank opens season with home matches

TuS TD 07 Lank begins its season with two consecutive home matches. The team faces the Kahlenberger HTC on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. local time, followed by a match against TC RW Düsseldorf on Sunday, November 15, at 1:00 p.m. Following an away match on Saturday, November 21, at 4:00 p.m. against BW Issum, the team will enter a winter break lasting nearly two months.

Meerbusch representation in the 1. Verbandsliga

Three other Meerbusch-based teams are competing in the 1. Verbandsliga this season. Following the withdrawal of the TC Bovert men’s 30 team, the club’s men’s 50 squad has moved into the second-highest division of the Tennisverband Niederrhein. Led by Tobias Baumeister, the Bovert roster includes new arrival Michele Hüttinger, alongside Marc Osterried, Gert Koschner, Thomas Ante, Ulrich Kary, Dominik Isken, and Udo Jochems. They open their season Saturday, November 14, at 4:00 p.m. against TC RW Grevenbroich.
