Noir c’est noir pour les Bonchampois qui accumulent les revers, ouest-france.fr reported after a 2-0 defeat against La Ferté-Bernard.
Bonchamp missed two chances in the first eight minutes before La Ferté-Bernard took control of the match.
Midfielder Sanoussi played as a makeshift number nine for Bonchamp in this Régional 2 fixture. He failed to convert two early opportunities within the opening six minutes, missing the target on the first and being stopped by goalkeeper Caliop on the second.
“Avec des si on ne va jamais bien loin,” coach Abel Favry remarked regarding the missed openings. La Ferté-Bernard subsequently seized technical control while Bonchamp struggled defensively on counter-attacks.
Bonchamp coach Abel Favry pointed to a stark contrast between the two halves of play. “Avec la réussite, ce match aurait pu être tout autre,” Favry stated after the final whistle.
Favry noted that despite a strong first-half display of engagement, his team repeatedly struggles to maintain that level after the break.
Sébastien Etiemble orchestrated the game for La Ferté-Bernard following the interval. The 39-year-old player-coach drove his side forward as Bonchamp failed to retain possession.
Lebon broke the deadlock in the 70th minute by converting a cross from Guillemin. Daniel Yoro then secured the 2-0 result in stoppage time with a decisive counter-attack at 90+1 minutes.
La Ferté-Bernard coach Sébastien Etiemble admitted his side was caught off guard early on. “Au départ, on se fait surprendre sur leurs deux premières occasions,” Etiemble explained.
However, Etiemble emphasized that his team seized control through superior possession and technical quality. “Notre victoire est méritée,” he concluded after his side created the clearer chances.
The fixture ended with a 2-0 scoreline in favor of the visitors after a scoreless first half. Referee M. Robert officiated the encounter.
La Ferté-Bernard secured the goals through Lebon at 70 minutes and D. Yoro at 90+1 minutes.
