Elizabeth Niño delivers materials for Naguanagua archery field

Naguanagua Mayor Elizabeth Niño delivered rehabilitation materials for the José Manuel Trujillo field at the Simón Bolívar Bicentenario Sports Complex. The venue will host archery events for the upcoming 2026 National Youth Games.

Delivering Equipment and Infrastructure Supplies

Accompanied by Fundadeporte President Leobaldo Gómez, Imdenagua President Marggily Morales, and Carabobo Archery Association President Roger Uzcátegui, Niño oversaw the distribution of 10 one-thousand-watt floodlights designed to keep the field fully illuminated for competitions. Alongside the lighting equipment, municipal authorities supplied paint, circuit breakers, a transformer, cables, and insulation tape.

“We have all the tools we need to leave our field at 100%, for the upcoming National Games, where we will be host in archery,” Niño said. The mayor added that supplies had also been delivered to condition the Ronald Story and table tennis gyms within the same sports complex.

Carabobo’s Role in National Sports Competitions

Fundadeporte President Leobaldo Gómez emphasized that Carabobo remains a sports reference point nationwide, noting that the region currently hosts the Communal National Games. Governor Rafael Lacava’s investments paved the way for the state to secure hosting duties for the archery discipline during the national competitions, Gómez stated.

Carabobo Archery Association President Roger Uzcátegui reported that 11 athletes from the state will compete in the sport during the XXII National Sports Games beginning this month. Six of those competitors hail from the Naguanagua municipality.

“We are happy with the result that is being given. We continue working, complying with the trainings, because in Carabobo no one surrenders,” Uzcátegui said.
