Adut Bulgak Leaves SPAR Girona After Playing 9 Games

Adut Bulgak has left Spar Girona after playing just nine matches across all competitions, following a roster shake-up that left the player without a single minute of playing time last week.

Spar Girona confirmed the departure of Adut Bulgak, making her the second player to leave the club in two days following the exit of Marta García, as reported by diaridegirona.cat.

The South Sudanese-Canadian player struggled to secure a consistent role after joining the club for this season. According to diaridegirona.cat, the recent addition of Michelle Onyiah left Bulgak out of the matchday squad against Keltern in the EuroCup, and she did not feature in the subsequent fixture against Valencia.

Prior to her time in Girona, Bulgak spent the 2025/26 season with Azulmarino Mallorca Palma, where she averaged 11.2 points and 8.7 rebounds in the regular season before raising those numbers to 14 points and 10 rebounds across three promotion playoff games.

Selected 12th overall in the 2016 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty, the 1.93-meter pivot has also played for Chicago Sky, IDK Euskotren, and several international clubs across Israel, South Korea, Russia, France and Mexico.

Outside of club basketball, Bulgak has established herself as a player of the South Sudan national team. Basquet Girona notes that she played for her country at the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket in Abidjan, where South Sudan claimed a historic bronze medal, and later posted averages of 19.3 points and 15.3 rebounds at the FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Mexico.
