Tran Phu High School Students Compete in 9 School-Level Sports

Hundreds of students from Tran Phu High School have stepped into competition across nine distinct disciplines for the 2026–2027 school-year student sports tournament. The multi-sport event brings together teenagers competing in gender-separated brackets for football, badminton, table tennis, basketball, chess, swimming, cross-country running, track and field, and volleyball.

Da Nang Venues Host Nine Disciplines

The events span multiple athletic facilities across the city to accommodate the broad schedule. Meanwhile, football matches unfold at the Chuyen Viet football stadium, and chess and volleyball competitions are hosted directly on the Tran Phu High School grounds.

Principal Nguyen Cuu Huy presided over the opening torch relay ceremony to officially launch the school-level competition. Organizers built the tournament schedule to foster a healthy athletic environment while encouraging physical education and fitness training among the student body.

Scouting Talent for the City-Level Tournament

Beyond daily fitness promotion, the school-level tournament serves as a direct scouting ground for elite competitors. The matches are used to discover and select talented students capable of representing the institution at the upcoming 2026–2027 city-level student sports tournament.

Following the conclusion of the initial school events, the school organized targeted training sessions and coaching programs for the selected athletes. These preparations aim to sharpen performance levels ahead of the broader municipal competition.

Athletic Program Maximizes Student Participation Across Disciplines

The 2026–2027 athletic program encompasses a diverse range of individual and team disciplines designed to maximize student participation. The separate boys’ and girls’ brackets cover endurance events, precision board games, and high-intensity team sports.
