TG Schwalbach secures fifth place in Landesliga judo

The third squad of TG Schwalbach secured a fifth-place finish in the Landesliga judo competition despite wrestling through persistent roster constraints across the season’s final matchdays, according to club reports. Operating without competitors in two of the seven weight classes due to work commitments, illnesses, and injuries, the team maintained its standing through resilience and team chemistry.

Roster Shortages Shape Landesliga Finale

Competitors at the final Landesliga fixture on Saturday, Sept. 26, faced steep odds when TG Schwalbach’s third team could field athletes in only five of the seven required weight divisions. Similar scheduling and health hurdles limited the squad at earlier fixtures. Club officials noted that the athletes who did step onto the mat demonstrated notable discipline and competitive spirit to preserve the club’s position in the regional league table rather than forfeiting entirely.

Youth Success at Hessen Championships

Beyond the senior ranks, TG Schwalbach celebrated a series of podium finishes at the Hessen championships for the under-11 and under-13 age brackets. The regional tournament highlighted the depth of the club’s junior program, yielding three third-place finishes and one fifth-place result under the direction of coach Zaur Guliyev.

In the U11 division, Valentino Paccussi and Oleksii Kryvenko each claimed bronze medals, while teammate Oleksander Izmalkova finished fifth. In the U13 competition, Evin Hussein added another third-place finish for the club. Guliyev praised the performance of his young athletes following the state-level tournament.

Junior Roster and Support Staff

The successful youth contingent at the state championships featured a dedicated group of competitors working alongside their coaching staff. Alongside medalists Paccussi, Kryvenko, and Izmalkova, young judoka Pierre Hugoes Simonneau represented the club on the mat. The developmental group continues to train under Guliyev as the club looks toward the next regional competition cycle.
