Rahim Ibrahim Extends Contract with Slovan Bratislava Until 2030

ŠK Slovan Bratislava has secured midfielder Rahim Ibrahim to a contract extension running through the end of the 2029/30 season. The 25-year-old Ghanaian player originally joined the club in early 2025 and has since made 70 appearances, scoring seven goals.

Securing a Long-Term Deal After Months of Pursuit

Securing Ibrahim proved difficult across multiple transfer windows before the Slovak club finally brought him in. Club officials noted that their persistent efforts ultimately paid off as the midfielder established himself in his prime footballing years with physical and technical traits that draw strong interest from abroad.

“If you remember, we tried to sign Rahim Ibrahim in several transfer windows and time has shown that our effort made sense,” said Ivan Kmotrík Jr., the club’s general director. “In the prime footballing age, thanks to his parameters, he belongs among players who are interesting for foreign clubs, and not only in the recent past we have received several offers for him.”

Ghana National Team Call-Up Prompts Longer Contract Extension

Ibrahim earned his first call-up to the Ghana national team during the most recent international break, boosting his profile and making a long-term commitment a priority for Slovan’s management. Kmotrík Jr. highlighted the player’s nomination as a key factor behind the decision to lock down his services through the 2029/30 campaign.

“During the last international break, he was also nominated for the first time to the Ghana national team selection,” Kmotrík Jr. added. “That was also why it was important for us to sign Rahim for a longer period. I am very glad that we agreed on the extension of the contract and we believe that Rahim will show a lot of good moments in our jersey and will improve even more, because his potential is enormous.”
