Paris Saint-Germain secured a decisive 5-0 victory over Oud-Heverlee Leuven (OHL) on Thursday in the second round of the UEFA Women’s Champions League phase.
According to reports from DHnet, the match saw the Parisian attack dominate the Belgian visitors throughout the 90 minutes. The result places PSG third in the provisional standings with four points, trailing leaders FC Barcelona, who hold six points, and Olympique Lyonnais, who hold four points. This performance follows a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid in the opening week of the tournament.
Naomie Feller leads the Parisian offensive
Forward Naomie Feller delivered a standout performance, netting two goals in the 51st and 63rd minutes. Feller, who was notably excluded from the latest France national team selection, provided a clear response on the pitch, according to L’Équipe. Beyond her scoring, she contributed two assists, setting up captain Sakina Karchaoui in the 69th minute and Rasheedat Ajibade in the 9th minute.

Rasheedat Ajibade’s early goal marked her third of the season in six matches. The scoring concluded in the 84th minute when Vitoria Yaya, assisted by Karchaoui, added the fifth goal to seal the victory. This five-goal margin of victory is the largest PSG has achieved in a Champions League match since 2022.
Context of the victory in the group stage
The win provides a critical boost for manager Paulo Cesar’s squad. After failing to advance past the league phase last season—finishing with only two points—the club has now surpassed that total in just two matches. The team entered the game without several key players, including Olga Carmona, Jackie Groenen, and Griedge Mbock, yet maintained control against a Leuven side that had held Paris to a 0-0 draw in previous meetings.
The upcoming schedule made securing three points at home essential. PSG faces a difficult road ahead, with away trips to Chelsea and Manchester City, as well as home fixtures against Bayern Munich and Juventus. As defender Thiniba Samoura stated prior to the match, the team’s explicit goal for this campaign is to outperform their previous European showing.
PSG moves to third place in provisional standings
With four points from two matches, PSG currently sits in third place in the provisional standings, separated from second-place Lyon by goal difference. The victory serves as the club’s first European win since their quarter-final triumph over Häcken in March 2024. The match was played before a crowd that included approximately 100 supporters at the Campus PSG facility.
The next checkpoint for the Paris Saint-Germain women’s team will be their upcoming match in the domestic league, followed by their next test in the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage. The club will continue its campaign as it seeks to maintain its current momentum against more highly-ranked opponents in the coming weeks.
