Omron Healthcare signs supplier agreement with Tokyo SunRockerz

Omron Healthcare has signed a supplier agreement with Tokyo Sunrockers for the 2026-27 B.LEAGUE season, expanding medical and conditioning support from the club’s elite athletes down to its operational staff and home arena.

Supplier Agreement Expansion for Tokyo Sunrockers

Omron Healthcare Company announced a supplier agreement with the professional basketball club Tokyo Sunrockers for the 2026-27 B.LEAGUE season, providing comprehensive health and safety equipment spanning players, coaching staff, and game-day venues. The partnership deepens a relationship that began during the 2021-22 season, when the healthcare manufacturer first supplied sports low-frequency therapy devices to aid player recovery and physical conditioning.

Equipment Deployment Across Players and Staff

Under the renewed agreement, the support network extends beyond the active roster to cover club personnel and arena infrastructure. In addition to supplying sports low-frequency therapy units, Omron will provide upper-arm blood pressure monitors and body composition monitors for daily player conditioning. Team personnel and game operations staff will also receive blood pressure and body composition monitors for routine health tracking, while the arena medical room will be equipped with professional blood pressure monitors and clinical thermometers. Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) will be installed at training and match venues to safeguard against sudden medical emergencies during competition.

Transition to the B.LEAGUE PREMIER and TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO

The 2026-27 campaign marks a structural transformation for Japanese professional basketball as the league launches its top-tier division, the B.LEAGUE PREMIER. In alignment with this elite restructuring, the club relocated its home base to Koto Ward, Tokyo, established the newly opened TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO as its home venue, and transitioned its identity from Sunrockers Shibuya to Tokyo Sunrockers. Tracing its lineage to the Hitachi Head Office basketball team established in 1935, the organization won its first Emperor’s Cup in 2020 before entering this new era of competition.

Advanced Devices Alleviate Athlete Fatigue and Monitor Blood Pressure

The athletic equipment roster features advanced self-care technology designed for professional athletes. The HV-F082 Spocare low-frequency therapy device incorporates microcurrent technology to alleviate muscle fatigue and joint pain following intense exertion, utilizing specialized pads shaped for lower limbs, joints, and targeted spot care. The portable HV-F601T1 cordless model pairs with a smartphone application to let athletes adjust treatment modes and intensity levels during travel or team transit. Meanwhile, the HCR-7728T upper-arm blood pressure monitor utilizes a soft fit-cuff design, backlight displays, and Bluetooth synchronization to automatically transfer daily cardiovascular metrics to the Omron Connect health application.
