New Balance Japan has signed a Diamond Partner agreement with NPB Enterprises Co., Ltd., becoming the official outfitter of Samurai Japan across all age brackets from U-12 youth squads to the senior national team, selecta bisso reported. The wide-ranging partnership supplies match-day uniforms, performance apparel, footwear, and equipment for every division of the national programme.

The agreement marks a major expansion for the brand within Japanese baseball. Rather than limiting the partnership to the senior national team, New Balance will kit out every category representing Samurai Japan in international competition.
Redesigned Home and Visitor Uniforms Unveiled for 2026
To launch the partnership, New Balance and Samurai Japan collaborated to redesign both home and away kits from the ground up. For away fixtures, the teams will wear a minimalist grey palette inspired by the Japanese aesthetic concept of wabi-sabi, a color scheme that also nods to New Balance’s own visual heritage.
SJ Monogram Logo Debuts on Baseball Caps
The collaboration introduces a fresh graphic element: an “SJ” monogram logo that will appear prominently on Samurai Japan baseball caps. Beyond elite competition, both organizations plan to roll out grassroots youth participation programmes designed to foster baseball culture across Japan.
RAGZAS Asia Professional Baseball Championship 2026 Debut
The newly designed uniforms will make their first official on-field appearance at the RAGZAS Asia Professional Baseball Championship 2026. The tournament serves as the global showcase for the refreshed visual identity. Retail availability follows shortly after, with the new collection set to launch on October 20, 2026, via New Balance Japan’s official online store and select retail partners.
