Linda Nosková continued her dominant run on Chinese hard courts on Sunday, defeating Switzerland’s Viktorija Golubicová 6:2, 6:1 in under an hour to reach the round of 16 at the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing.
Nosková Dispatches Golubicová in Straight Sets
The match began with a competitive ten-minute exchange where both players held serve to 2:2. From that point, the Czech Republic’s top-ranked player shifted momentum, dropping only a single game for the remainder of the contest. She secured breaks in the sixth and eighth games, converting her first break point opportunities on both occasions.
Golubicová mounted brief pressure at the start of the second set, earning a 40:0 lead on the return in the opening game and forcing a protracted hold from the Czech star in the third. Nosková weathered the challenge to lead 2:1, subsequently rattling off consecutive breaks and closing out the victory in the seventh game with two successive aces.

Czech Contenders Advance Across Beijing Draws
While Nosková sailed through her third-round fixture, fellow Czech competitors experienced contrasting fortunes at the capital city venue. Muchová moves on to face Liudmila Samsonova for a place in the quarterfinals.
Sára Bejlek also advanced to the third round by defeating Australia’s Maddison Inglis 6:3, 7:5. Bejlek’s reward is a high-profile clash against former world number one Naomi Osaka of Japan. Meanwhile, twenty-year-old Nikola Bartůňková continued her breakthrough run by dispatching Poland’s Magdalena Frech twice 6:2 without facing a single break point, setting up a formidable test against world number two Aryna Sabalenka.
