Lima will host its sole ATP Challenger event of the year from November 9 to 15, when the Club Terrazas Miraflores stages the Challenger 75 Igma Open on clay courts, Infobae reported.
The tournament offers 75 ranking points to the champion and anchors the final stretch of the South American circuit following October’s events. Organization officials confirmed that Peruvian players Juan Pablo Varillas and Gonzalo Bueno will headline the local entry list, joined by Argentina’s Juan Bautista Torres and defending champion Tomás Barrios Vera of Chile.
Clay Courts at Club Terrazas Miraflores Prepare for November Play
The Club Terrazas Miraflores in Lima returns as the exclusive venue for the city’s lone Challenger-level tournament of 2026. Last year, Lima hosted three separate events on the calendar due to a scheduling shift that incorporated a relocated tournament from Guayquil, Ecuador. That compressed schedule will not repeat this season, leaving the Igma Open as the single opportunity for players to capture Challenger points in the Peruvian capital.
The tournament carries a 75-point reward for the singles champion, drawing regional specialists looking to solidify their year-end positions before the off-season.

Peruvian Contenders and Regional Challengers Lead the Entry List
Varillas enters the draw as Peru’s most established representative on the professional tour, maintaining consistent presence at the Challenger and ATP levels over recent seasons. Bueno joins him in the main draw after gaining valuable experience across various international brackets throughout the year.
The field also features international competition led by Chile’s Barrios Vera, who captured the title at the capital’s final tournament of the 2025 series. Argentine competitor Juan Bautista Torres rounds out the initial group of announced participants.
Historical Champions and Past ATP Standouts in Lima
The Lima Challenger has previously served as a stepping stone for players who later climbed into the upper tiers of the men’s game. Past draws featured former World No. 8 Diego Schwartzman of Argentina, former World No. 16 Marco Cecchinato of Italy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Damir Džumhur, who reached No. 23.
Recent editions crowned Bolivia’s Juan Carlos Prado Ángelo, who defeated Bueno in the 2025 final to claim his maiden Challenger trophy, alongside Argentine titlist Mariano Navone. The tournament’s historical honor roll includes multiple South American standouts such as Cristian Garín, Thiago Monteiro, Daniel Elahi Galán, Hugo Dellien, and Juan Manuel Cerúndolo.
