León to host multi-sport event for police and firefighters

The upcoming multi-sport event brings together security and emergency personnel from nine international countries alongside host nation Mexico to compete across nearly 30 athletic disciplines.

Global Delegations and Mexican States Heading to Guanajuato

Athletes traveling from outside Mexico include delegations representing Brazil, Peru, United States, Pakistan, India, Guatemala, New Zealand, El Salvador, and Belgium. Within the host country, competing public safety officers and firefighters are slated to arrive from Chihuahua, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Guanajuato, the State of Mexico, Mexico City, and Puebla, among other regions. Organizers noted that the seven-day competition serves to recognize the physical conditioning, daily service, and discipline required of emergency responders.

Twenty-Eight Sports Featured Across León Venues

Competitors will test their endurance and tactical skills across 28 distinct sporting categories during the week-long event. The schedule features traditional track and field events including street runs ranging from 100 meters to 5 kilometers, alongside a demanding 800-meter vertical race. Cycling events span road races, time trials, mountain biking (BTT), and urban police cycling.
