La Compagnie d’arc de Prauthoy reviews first year and expansion plans

La Compagnie d’arc de Prauthoy held its general meeting on Sunday, October 4, bringing together members to review the club’s formative first year of operations and outline expansion plans for the upcoming season, local reporting shows.

First-Year Achievements at Prauthoy Archery Ground

During the assembly, the club captain delivered the moral report, highlighting the successful establishment of the association from modest beginnings. Members built a dedicated training ground, acquired essential archery equipment including targets and bows, and organized regular community events throughout the year. The treasurer subsequently presented the financial report and the upcoming budget, pointing to a surge in interest from local participants.

The club has already registered 13 new members, with additional license applications currently pending review. Because local demand has outpaced initial financial projections, leadership plans to allocate additional funds toward site upgrades, including new target setups, improved pathway access, and protective safety netting around the range.

Club Members Join Festivals in Cohons and Langres

Beyond weekly training sessions, club members have established an active presence at regional flea markets and public gatherings. Following appearances at local events, the association accepted invitations to participate in the upcoming fruit and vegetable festival in Cohons on October 11. Organizers also look ahead to traditional fixtures on the archery calendar, including the Fête de la Saint-Sébastien in January, the Tir du Roy competition in May, and a prominent display at the medieval festivals in Langres.

Training Schedules and Venue Details

To support its growing roster, the club expanded its executive board by adding two new members during the October 4 meeting. Proceedings concluded before noon with a communal meal and games on the outdoor range, setting the stage for the official start of the autumn training block at the Halle de Percey.

Indoor and hall sessions operate on a fixed weekly schedule. Training takes place on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Fridays from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Prospective members seeking registration details or general information can contact the club directly at 06.82.26.87.81.
