Julia Krajewski and Ero de Cantraie Lead Boekelo Eventing Nations Cup Final

Julia Krajewski and her 12-year-old French gelding, Ero de Cantraie, lead the individual standings at the FEI Eventing Nations Cup final in Boekelo with 23,9 penalty points, according to recent equestrian reports. The pair finished ahead of Great Britain’s Gemma Stevens riding Chilli Morning IV, who sit in second place with 25,4 penalty points following the dressage phase.

Ero de Cantraie Returns to Top Form in Boekelo

The leading partnership’s path back to top-tier competition required patient rehabilitation. Ero de Cantraie won the German Championships in LuhmĂĽhlen back in 2023 as a nine-year-old before sustaining an injury that sidelined the gelding for an extended period. Krajewski managed a slow, careful retraining process to bring the French gelding back to full fitness for international competition.

Germany Holds Second Place in Team Competition

In the team competition, Germany holds second place overall behind the leading British squad and ahead of the United States. Krajewski is joined on the German team by Christoph Wahler riding Gainsbourg de Bedon, who currently sits 12th individually, Arne Bergendahl with Bronco NRW in 15th, and Pauline Knorr aboard Aevolet M-A-F in 34th. Ingrid Klimke and the 10-year-old mare Kallista lie eighth individually on 26,9 penalty points, while Nadine Marzahl competes with the 15-year-old Hannoverian mare Victoria, though neither Klimke nor Marzahl ride for the team score.

Format Changes for the Nations Cup Final

Competition organizers introduced a completely fresh format for the Boekelo finale. All participating nations start from a score of zero, eliminating carry-over points from the preceding qualification events so that only the performance on site determines the outcome.
